Breathwork in Austin

A seated practice of guided breathing techniques to calm the nervous system or build steady energy.

A student seated in a guided breathing exercise

Breathwork is our most seated practice: no postures to hold, just guided patterns of breathing that can calm an anxious afternoon or build steady energy for the day ahead. It works well on its own or as a short addition before any of our other classes.

What we offer

  • Guided breathing techniques drawn from a calming or an energising family, depending on the class
  • Simple seated or reclined positions, no flexibility required
  • A brief explanation of each technique before it is practiced
  • Quiet space to notice the effect of the breath before moving on
  • A short closing rest to let the nervous system settle

How to book a class

Book your seat through the online form; breathwork classes run in a smaller room, so reserving ahead is the best way to be sure of a spot. No experience with breathing practices is expected.

Price

Breathwork is priced like our other group classes, by single class, pack or membership, with the amount confirmed at booking. First-time students can join a class at no charge.

Questions

Is breathwork safe for everyone?

Most people practice it safely, but certain breathing techniques are not recommended during pregnancy or with some respiratory or heart conditions. Let your teacher know about any health concern before class so they can offer the right technique.

Do I need to sit cross-legged on the floor?

No. Chairs and props are available for anyone who finds the floor uncomfortable; what matters is being upright and at ease, not the exact position.
